Optional public-page analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics uses cookies on our landing page to measure visits and selected actions, such as opening prices or clicking registration, contact or install buttons. Google processes technical connection information, including your IP address; this is not anonymous collection. We do not send names, emails, account identifiers, confirmation tokens, answers, learning activity or payment details. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled. Analytics is not installed on registration, confirmation, signed-in, billing or learning pages. URL queries and fragments are not sent. You can allow, decline or withdraw permission using Analytics choices on the landing page. Choices and analytics cookies expire after six months; consent does not affect access. Withdrawal stops future collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically erase data already processed by Google. Contact hello@gentlejulius.com about privacy requests. Google operates the analytics service and processes data on its infrastructure, which may be outside Nigeria. See Google’s privacy policy.

What we save and why

We save account details, learning attempts, progress, explanations and optional photos to deliver tutoring, plan the next lesson and protect account access. A parent can view progress summaries, but not private tutoring chats.

Your choices

Photos and feedback are optional. Use a nickname rather than a full name. Keep faces, names and school details out of homework photos. Parents can withdraw consent, restore consent for fresh child agreement, or delete a child’s data from their dashboard. A learner may choose Not now before agreeing to learn.

Optional Stronger Together crews

A learner can choose to enable Stronger Together, then form or join a same-class crew of up to ten learners using a private invitation. Joining does not require a parent’s approval first. Parents can inspect their child’s crew, block a member or withdraw and pause their child. Learners may leave or turn sharing off.

Current crew members see an animal alias and approved avatar, new badge names, personal-best celebrations without scores and optional welcome-back messages. There is no typed chat: encouragement uses approved messages and stickers. Real names, photos, schools, addresses, answers and mistakes are not shared through crews.

A learner may optionally choose their Nigerian state or the FCT. It is blank by default, visible only to their current crew, removable at any time and hideable by their parent. It is not used to match learners or filter public statistics. We do not request a town, school or address for this feature.

Anonymous community messages count distinct participating learners and are shown only for groups of at least five other learners. Crew activity, encouragement and concern reports are removed after 30 days. Sharing preferences, optional state and parent blocks remain as settings until changed or the account is deleted. Crew concerns use preset categories and are reviewed by the administrator; they are not a live support channel. The separate crew-sharing explanation is shown before a learner enables participation.

Photos and providers

When automatic photo reading is enabled, the named provider shown before upload processes the image. Check and confirm the transcription before tutoring. The development/manual reader does not offer automatic interpretation.

Offline and shared devices

Saved learning packs and pending answers remain on the device for offline practice. Offline profiles expire after 30 days. A disconnected device cannot receive a deletion or withdrawal signal until it reconnects. Clear this site’s browser data when giving a device to someone else.

Retention and deletion

Child account and progress records are kept while the account exists. Raw tutoring text is eligible for removal after 30 days by the configured retention process. Deletion stops account access and schedules removal of associated records and private files. Backup expiry and deployment retention settings are confirmed before public launch.

Feedback, email and payments

Optional feedback has no account or learning-record links; do not include personal information. Administrators can remove it. Zoho delivers account emails; Paystack handles parent payments. GentleJulius does not store card numbers. We do not sell child learning data.

Contact and account deletion
